In the Beginning…
The Catholic Community of St. Francis of Assisi, inspired by the dream of a few families in 1982, has witnessed a tremendous transformation. From its early beginning in the woods of Leesville Road to the dynamic and growing faith community it is today, the Catholic Community of St. Francis of Assisi remains committed to its mission to, “welcome with joy all those who come to us and invite them into the life of our community.” The realization of this commitment to meet not only the needs of our parish family today but also to provide for the future needs of tomorrow, directed the launch of the Growing In Faith Together (GIFT) building campaign in 2006.
These prioritized needs dictated the building initiatives – initiatives that continue to encourage and empower us to be a welcoming community, provide a physical home to social justice outreach, foster parish vitality by sharing our faith, create smaller spaces for listening to God, and grow in faith together.
Through the generosity of our parish families, we now witness the completion of the vision.
