AWAKENING FAITH
RECONNECTING WITH YOUR CATHOLIC FAITH
…is a small group process that meets once a week for six weeks. The conversations are based on short, easy to read essays about Spirituality, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, the Mass, God’s mercy and the Church. The meetings foster reflection, prayer and honest sharing in a setting of hospitality and acceptance.
Many of us have taken our Catholic faith for granted – or have been away from the Church for a while. Awakening Faith is an opportunity to reconnect with the Church and rediscover Catholicism’s many beautiful gifts.
You may know someone who might benefit from attending Awakening Faith. Please pray for them and if it seems appropriate, invite them to give it a try. You might even offer to accompany then for a few sessions.
Each participant will be given a booklet with short essays which will be read at each session, followed by discussion questions. Additional, optional essays allow the group to continue to meet if desired to discuss one or all of the topics of faith, love, marriage and divorce, and money. The process is simple and inviting. The sessions will be facilitated by Fr. David McBriar and Gladys Whitehouse.
Although it is best if attendance is weekly, we understand if someone’s schedule will not allow participation at all six sessions. We welcome your presence at any or all of the sessions. And should this be a ministry in which you would like to become involved, please consider joining us.
