Youth Confirmation
The Sacrament of Confirmation may be celebrated any time after the Fall of Sophomore year in high school. The preparation process consists of participation in Youth Ministry, completion of the Confirmation Preparations sessions as well as participation in a parish ministry. The emphasis for the celebration of Confirmation is placed on the youth coming to appreciate and celebrate their faith through conversion in their involvement in the life and mission of our parish community.

Adult Confirmation
Some adults who were baptized Catholics and celebrated the sacrament of Eucharist as a child may have missed being Confirmed. Adult Confirmation can be celebrated at Easter along with the catechumens and candidates who are fully initiated into the Church as well as during the year when the Bishop celebrates Confirmation in local parishes. Adult Confirmation preparation sessions are done in conjunction with the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA). Click here for more information on the RCIA adult faith formation program.
With Baptism and Eucharist, Confirmation shapes us as Catholic Christians. Each of these sacraments focuses on a different but necessary aspect of our life in faith: birth into the Christian family, nourishment through the body and blood of Christ and reception of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. The sacrament of Confirmation is also one of the requirements for being a sponsor or godparent.
If you are an adult who was baptized Catholic but never received the sacrament of Confirmation, please join us for a time to prepare for Adult Catholic Confirmation. Click here to register, or please contact the Coordinator for Evangelization, Gladys Whitehouse or call 847-8205 x236.
