Assistant Principal for Preschool
The Catholic Community of St. Francis of Assisi (Raleigh, NC) seeks a creative and collaborative leader to serve as Assistant Principal for the St. Francis of Assisi Preschool for a 5000+ household, Vatican II parish. This is a full-time, 12 month, professional, ministerial position with benefits.
The Assistant Principal for Preschool must be a practicing Catholic and have at least a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, child development, or elementary education or a bachelor’s degree and experience relevant to early childhood program administration with at least three years teaching experience with young children. Candidates with a master’s degree are preferred.
Duties include strategic planning, creating annual goals and objectives that support the mission of the preschool as a ministry of the parish, hiring and evaluating personnel, developing and managing a budget, overseeing the curriculum, instruction, and assessment in the preschool, promoting collaborative efforts to engage preschool aged children and their parents in the parish mission. The ideal candidate would have experience in staff and project management, adult education/training, early childhood learning, and public speaking and communication.

Technology Teacher – The Franciscan School
The Franciscan School, a Catholic parochial school with K-8th grade, is seeking a qualified teacher to work with the K-8th grades as a technology instructor and resource for students and faculty. The primary role of the teacher will be to instruct students in the proper use of technology and assist them in becoming proficient in the use of technology, including computer software, internet resources, search engines, and social media, as it applies to the goals and requirements of the Diocesan curriculum and the needs of the particular subject area instructors at The Franciscan School. Additionally, the teacher will assist faculty and staff with technology needs and provide information and instruction on the use of new technologies, as well as the best practices for current resources.
Candidates must have NC teaching licensure or be able to obtain NC teaching licensure. Preferred candidates will have teaching experience in technology and experience in working with outside agencies that would enhance our technology program.

Part-Time Administrative Assistant – Catholic Education & Formation
An immediate opportunity exists for an Assistant to serve the needs of The Franciscan School and the Evangelization Ministry Office. This is a part time, 20 hour a week administrative position.
Candidates must have strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Publisher, PowerPoint and Excel, and should be proficient in database management. The ability to learn new skills is essential.
The Administrative Assistant will assist the Youth Ministry Coordinator in administrative responsibilities for that office. In addition, the administrative assistant will serve as the morning receptionist for the Siena Center for Lifelong Learning.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication, time management, project organization and event planning skills. This position will require occasional assistance in the evenings and on weekends.

Part-Time Youth Ministry Specialist
The Catholic Community of St. Francis of Assisi (Raleigh, NC) seeks a creative and collaborative person to serve as Youth Ministry Specialist in the Lifelong Faith Formation Office for a 5000+ household, Vatican II parish. This is a 20 hour a week ministerial position with benefits. The Youth Ministry Specialist works together with the Coordinator of Youth Ministry to strategically plan and cooperatively lead cohesive lifelong faith formation for families with youth that focuses on primacy of adult faith formation. The Specialist will be working with both the Middle School Youth and Confirmation programs, specifically on Sunday night ministry events, evening preparation sessions, and weekend retreats and other events.
The Youth Ministry Specialist must possess at least a high school diploma and have experience in basic data management, project planning, and time management. Experience in educational setting and/or parish setting preferred. Active, practicing Catholic with experience in pastoral ministry and/or leadership position. Community Center Facility Specialist
The Community Life Ministries currently have two to three part-time employment positions open.
We are seeking part-time employees to work evenings and weekends in 3-6 hours shifts. These staff members will oversee the safety and security of community life programs, activities, and events that strengthen the communal aspects of our parish, community, and neighborhood in light of our mission to be “one family living in community.” These people will work directly with the coordinator of community life to support the operation of the Assisi Community Center by ensuring a clean, safe, controlled environment in accordance with the Diocese of Raleigh and parish procedures and guidelines. Duties will include but are not limited to: monitoring entrance and departure of visitors to maintain the security and safety of premises both visually and through security cameras; circulating among visitors to preserve order and protect property; answering telephone calls to take messages, answer questions, and provide support; warning persons of code of conduct infractions or violations; and dismisses violators from premises if necessary. Each staff member will also have additional areas of responsibility within Community Life depending on skills such as: assisting athletic leagues or community center programs, interfacing with community organizations, helping with parish-wide event planning or support the operations of the Assisi Café.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required and the applicant must possess, or be able to obtain, Red Cross or American Heart Association CPR Certification with First Aid training, and Diocese of Raleigh Safe Child training.
The hours of this part-time position are weekday evenings and weekend days not to exceed 20 hours per week.

I need a ride to and from my job the apex ymca starting ASAP (1/9/12). I pay you gas if you willing to work Mon-Fri pick up at my place near Francis at 6:55am and take me to the y. Then pick me up at the y at 6:00pm and take me home. Over all the jobs 5 days a week 2hurs a day from my place to the apex y is 15 miles.
