Do you ever wonder if there’s a better way to handle those daily parenting problems? Maybe your son dawdles around whenever it’s time to get dressed for school… your daughter is suddenly using disrespectful language… or maybe the children seem to forget to do their chores and argue every minute of the day. Or maybe you’d like to prepare for the upcoming teen years.
You can become more successful at parenting with Active Parenting Now in 3, the acclaimed video and discussion program by parenting expert Dr. Michael Popkin. In just three powerful sessions, you will learn simple yet effective parenting skills that will lead to more harmony and happiness for you and your children. Our morning session will be led by Gladys Whitehouse, and the evening sessions by Ben Whitehouse.

GREAT DATE NIGHTS
Great Date Nights are an opportunity for couples to have time out to build their marriage and to enrich their relationship. It’s a unique program that combines fun dates and marriage education skills. Each session begins with a short date launch (approximately 15 minute segment on DVD) where the theme or skill for that particular date is introduced. Then couples go off to experience their own “great date”! Registration includes a copy of the book Happy Together; The Catholic Blueprint for a Loving Marriage by John Bosio to use throughout the program. Cost is $35/couple. Childcare is provided and included in the cost of the program.
Thanks for a great season of Dates! We look forward to our next session of Great Date Nights!

THE THIRD OPTION
Many of us manage marriage as a series of choices between his desires and her desires, between “peace at any price” and “letting it all hang out.” Because they move us to extremes, these options don’t bring us together. With The Third Option, you can learn how to break through the clutter of past baggage and misunderstandings and build an effective, loving relationship.
The Third Option is:
A skills-based group program
14 session cycle; couples can start at any time
Helpful for any marriage – from brink of divorce to solid ground.
Both spouses do not need to attend
Educational focus rather than counseling
No fee
Meets in LaVerna Center from 7:00-9:00 pm
Meetings will be held on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month.
Schedule and room assignment may vary – please check the Events Page of the website.
The Third Option is being sponsored by the Catholic Diocese of Raleigh.
